Kockney Koi Water Wurzel Barley Straw Pouches are made from the finest natural barley straw. They are safe to use in all outdoor ponds and water aquatic features and are a simple but effective method of controlling algae, blanket weed and green water problems.
Water Wurzel barley straw pods take about 2-3 weeks to become active and will work effectively for about 4 months. For continuous protection add a new pod approximately one month before replacing the existing pod.
Water Wurzel barley straw pods use chopped straw to give a greater surface area and to encourage a rapid growth of the micro-organisms that help keep the water clear.
Water Wurzel barley straw pods have an integral cork floatation aid to help keep the pod closer to the surface where oxygen saturation levels are higher. Fixing the pods near moving water (eg waterfalls, fountains etc) will also aid efficiency.
Blanket weed is a long filament like freshwater alga which thrives in ornamental ponds. Its growth rate is increased by bright sunlight, shallow fast running water, and by fish excrement produced by heavy feeding.
Just pulling weed out releases spores which then produce even more weed.

Pond Medic Plus Fluke Off
Pond Medic Plus Fluke Off is an effective treatment against skin, gill flukes and intestinal helminths. For Koi Carp or coldwater ornamental fish. Always ensure correct diagnosis for flukes by taking a scrape before treatment. Fluke Off is best used above 10°C.
Directions:

An effective treatment for bacterial infections including Fin rot, Fungus etc.
Pond Medic Bactacide is an effective treatment against many aquatic bacterial infections. Very effective against ulcers, frayed fins, sores and fungus.
Directions
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat this dose weekly for 3 weeks. Use as a short term dip at a rate of 10ml per 10 gallons for no more than 30 minutes. Severe infections like ulcers may be swabbed with neat solution.
Note
Always mix in a suitable container with some pond water and distribute evenly around the pond.
Important
Calculate your pond volume accurately. To calculate your pond volume: Length x Width x Depth x 6 = Gallonage (all measurements are in feet). Monitor your fish during all treatments. Aeration is essential during treatment. If necessary, use an additional air pump. Filtration should be maintained at all times. Switch off Ultra Violet filters during treatment. Do not overdose. Pond Medic Parakill is an effective treatment against many aquatic parasites such as Fish lice, Flukes and Anchor worm. Do not use with Orfe or Rudd
Dosage:
- 250 ml treats – 3750 Gallons
- 500 ml treats – 7500 Gallons
- 1ltr Treats – 15,000 Gallons.
Directions:
Add 10ml per 750 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided. Repeat 5 days later then again after a further 5 days. For difficult cases increase the dose to 10ml per 500 Litres (100 Gallons) and repeats as above. For a short term bath (5 minutes max) use 10ml per 10 gallons (50 Litres).

Pond Medic + Anti Foam is an effective anti foaming agent that is harmless to plants and pond life.
Kockney Koi Pond Medic + Anti Foam is an easy way to stop and prevent unsightly foaming on the surface of ponds.
Anti Foam may be used at any time during the year but especially in the spring and summer months.
This product is harmless to all pond life if used correctly.
Directions:
Add 10ml per 682 Litres (150 Gallons) using the measuring cup provided.
This dose may be repeated after one hour.
Pour gently over the surface of the pond.
Do not repeat more than 5 times in any one week.
Note:
- For best results add Anti Foam around pump area to ensure even distribution.
- Anti Foam can be used regularly but should not be over used.
- Excessive repeated foaming may be due to the nature and type of the pump outlet.

Kockney Koi Green Go Blanketweed Controller Green Go quickly kills blanketweed and inhibits new growth. It is made from high quality natural, synergetic ingredients that will not harm your fish or pond life. The elimination of blanketweed will improve the circulation of the water through your pump and filter thereby improving the overall water quality.
Dosage:
Use a bucket or suitable container to mix 40ml of GreenGo for every 500 litres of pond water. Once the powder has fully dissolved sprinkle evenly over the pond surface (a watering can is ideal). The pond water may appear slightly milky. This is normal and will quickly clear.
For the best results, repeat the recommended dosage every four weeks during the sunny months.
