Can I Feed My Koi In The Winter?

Certainly!

You can feed your koi at any time of year based on their consumption, but make sure to provide only enough food for them to eat within a five-minute window. Any uneaten food should be removed right away. Typically, you’ll notice that most koi will stop asking for food when the water temperature is between 10 and 6 degrees. When the water temperature falls below 6 degrees, koi lose their appetite because they struggle to digest food properly. It is recommended not to feed them at temperatures below 6 degrees. Once the temperature rises, you can start feeding them again. Having a thermometer on hand is recommended.
