Do Koi Have Teeth?

Koi do have teeth; however, Yes they do! These teeth are not sharp, pointed, or jagged teeth found in predatory fish. Instead, koi exhibit smooth and rounded teeth that resemble molars, designed for grinding food rather than tearing flesh. Interestingly, their dental structure is positioned towards the back of their mouths, making it quite challenging to access these teeth. To examine them closely, you would have to reach deep down their throats, You may sometimes see koi teeth that have fallen out in the bottom of your ponds or filters this is normal.
