What Is A Beni Kumonryu Koi?

Beni Kumonryu are a fascinating and rare variant of the more commonly known Kumonryu koi, characterized by their unique combination of red, black, and white hues. These exquisite fish are scale less, making their coloration even more striking. A remarkable feature of the Beni Kumonryu is their dynamic pattern, which undergoes transformations throughout the year. While the exact reasons for these colour changes remain uncertain, two principal theories have emerged: fluctuations in water temperature and variations in water pH levels. Typically, these koi exhibit predominantly black coloration during the winter months, while vibrant white and red shades become prominent in spring and summer.
