What Is A Goshiki Koi?

The Goshiki’s intricate patterning in scales, inherited from its Asagi parent, gives this koi an impressive appearance. This reticulation creates a fishnet-like design across its entire body, allowing each scale to stand out distinctly against the underlying white and black hues. While the scales appear predominantly black on the top side of the koi, the underside and flanks display a much whiter tone, featuring a beautiful gradient that transitions from black on top to white below. Additionally, the Goshiki showcases a stunning red pattern inherited from its Kohaku parent, which appears to float above the black coloration and reticulated scales.
