What Is A Ki Shusui Koi?

The Ki Shusui, pronounced SHOO-soo-EE, are a beautiful type of fish known for their striking grey-blue colour. This colour serves as a perfect background for the bright yellow patterns on their sides. The yellow accents make them look even better and highlight their cheeks and fins, adding to their charm. An interesting feature of the Ki Shusui koi is that they have fewer scales; most of their body is nearly scale less. Still, they stand out due to a line of larger scales along each side of their dorsal fin, called the “stipple,” which adds to their appeal.
