At £64.99 this is comparable to the cheapest prices available for this flexible measuring bowl. Having bought and used the bowl I would not pay more than this.
Pros:
– It is a great space saving solution,
– Comes in a carry bag which is very good.
– The liner material is durable and will last.
– The legs and frame are stainless and durable. Not the highest quality stainless so will probably show signs of rust after a few years or sooner if kept outside.
– The rubber feet are solid and strong.
– The measuring tape is painted on as opposed to glued on which is nice.
Cons:
– 8 allen key bolts to put it together, what a pain each time you use it. A quick release system could have been designed at no extra cost, why didn’t they do this?
– The whole frame is tied together by stupid flimsy cheap chrome effect plastic brackets. Overtighten an allen bolt and you’ll crack one, or UV exposure over a period of time and they’ll crack by themselves. This will be the failure point for most of these bowls. Terrible design decision.
– When emptying bowl using a sock after first ever use, the edge of the sock caught the base of the bowl and scraped off a section of the measuring tape. The measuring tape is clearly not durable. I would be cautious exposing it to chemicals for cleaning the bowl or dipping fish, I suspect PP etc may stain the measuring tape.
