Spun Polypropylene filter cartridges are commonly used due to their superior capacity and efficiency whilst ensuring low pressure drops. This is achieved by a solvent, resin binder and surfactant free construction using nothing but polypropylene, externally finished with thermal bonding. Our cartridges are characterised by excellent sediment absorption of sand, silt, rust and suspended solids. Water purifiers can play a major role in removing unwanted toxins leaving good water quality in the pond and helping to keep your fish healthy. There are 3 different replacement pre filter cartridges available.

Phosphate is one of the main nutrients for algae (blanket weed) in a pond. With these filter cartridges it is possible to keep the phosphate level below 0,035 mg/l! The filter cartridges from the flow cartridge system use phosphate-storing materials to quickly and effectively remove algae-causing phosphates from the pond water. The phosphate content is lowered below the growth limit for algae thus preventing the growth of algae. An increase in phosphates, for example, due to a bath in the swimming pond or natural pool, are collected immediately. Ultra-smooth glass beads on both sides and the matched cartridge design distribute the water flow around the centrally filled granulate and ensure an optimal storage result.

These SKS Pod Purifier range of pond water purifiers are the affordable way of removing harmful substances and toxins that are present in most house-holds water when topping up your pond.

This may help to reduce your Koi from picking up diseases.

In General a flow rate of between 1 – 2 gls./min. will effectively process some 8,000 – 10,000 gallons for 10 inch pods and 18,000 to 20,000 for 20 inch pods.

Please note these figures can vary and depend to a certain extent on the quality of the water in your area.

What is safe for humans can be harmful or potentially fatal for sensitive fish, plants and other pond inhabitants. Therefore, your pond should only be topped up and replenished with pre-filtered tap water that is free of chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals.

The Oase Inline Dechlorinator is ideal for this purpose and uses high performance active carbon to ensure fresh tap water is free from any potentially harmful additives making it completely safe for your fish and plants. Simple to install, the Dechlorinator easily connects to a standard garden hosepipe via high quality metal quick-release couplings meaning you can simply link it up to your outside tap and leave until the pond is full.

The Oase Dechlorinator is compact at around 50cm long so is nice and easy to store. The unit can filter an impressive 200,000 litres of tap water prior to replacement and has a maximum recommended flow rate of 500 litres per hour or around 8 litres per minute for the efficient removal of chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals.
